About

What does a treatment consist of?

In traditional forms of medicine all over the world, the patient is assessed as an individual and given a treatment unique to them.

My work consists of a full patient intake as well an osteopathic evaluation. This evaluation indicates any visceral structures that will need attention. For example, a fixation in the stomach may cause fascial imbalances within and create a problem in the left shoulder. This may be addressed using visceral manipulation, vascular manipulation, and cranial sacral or work with the nerve structures of the shoulder. I incorporate sound healing, guided meditations in the Akashic Records, acupuncture, dietary therapies and ashiatsu depending on what the body is asking for.

This work deeply addresses the root cause of imbalance in order to restore blood flow and circulation to the body. It is very common to find restrictions in the body’s energetic field in an associated area to the area of restriction. Often there is an unprocessed event or emotion that the subconscious is holding onto, which creates changes in the fascia. After years of practice I have found that using sound therapy including tuning forks, singing bowls, drumming, toning and chanting have created lasting results by releasing emotional patterns that contribute to disease.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing multiple times and expecting different results. I believe in tapping unto the unique message that the body is sending and allowing the body to feel validated on it’s healing journey. The more we rely on feedback from the body, the more effective this type of treatment can be.

Acupuncture:

Acupuncture is a method of engaging “Qi” or energy through the insertion of thin needles. This helps to resolve blockages in circulation that lead to pain and stagnation.

Osteopathic Manual Therapy:

A gentle yet effective hands on therapy using palpation to find the root of imbalance. It often involves gentle fascia releases at the level of the organs, ligaments, nerves, bones as well as vascular system. This enhances the function of the body through optimal structure. A popular form of osteopathic manual therapy is cranial sacral, which focuses on the osseous structures of the cranium and sacrum.

Sound Medicine Journey:

Unlike a sound bath in which various sounds are played around the room to harmonize the chakras, a sound journey combines these elements with a guided meditation utilizing ceremony and guidance from ancestors, light beings, spirit guides etc to help shift the energetic body. In this journey you may connect with your higher self, inner child, and receive downloads to help support you in your process.

Chinese herbs and supplements:

Ancient Chinese formulas may be used to help resolve pathogenic influences in your body such as cold, damp, wind, heat, and stasis. Supplements herbs and nutrients may be used to help support a shift in the body.

What is Ashiatsu?

Ashiatsu is a barefoot massage technique which applies deep, broad pressure utilizing gravity and an overhead bar system to assist in providing a deeply relaxing treatment. This can provide up to three times more pressure than a traditional massage without the discomfort of pointy elbows and thumbs. It enables elongation in the muscles and the spine, improves lymphatic circulation and detoxification, and improves posture and range of motion.

After your session, you may be tired. A therapeutic may activate healing pathways, stimulate the immune system, and bring the body into a parasympathetic response (rest and digest). At this time you may become more connected to your yin nature; the darker side of the coin, representing night time, rest, darkness, renewal and water. It is a great idea to get some extra rest during this time to support your body’s healing pathways. Taking an epsom salt bath or soaking your feet will help to soothe muscles as well as clear the energy field and ease the body into releasing old patterns.
